Stress has been recognized as the number one cause of disease. Cancer and heart disease, the number one and number two natural causes of death are directly associated with stress. When you learn how to eliminate stress from your body, and when you learn to strengthen your body, stress and all of the health issues that come with this plague become a distant memory. #5: Drop toxic foods from your diet And this is only the beginning of chemicals that are slipped into foods that look healthy. The bottom line: do not eat food that comes out of a box or out of a can. Read every label of boxed foods if you must eat these, and if you cannot pronounce a word it is not likely to be good for you. Do not put it into your body. Eat only fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh juices and fresh meats. Whole grains and nuts can compliment your fresh food diet to make for a diet that does not contribute to these stressors that are killing your body. #4: Set aside at least one hour for downtime every day You will not be around to accomplish your goals in life if you shorten your life by cramming more and more goals into every day. Downtime is essential for reducing stress. Your ideal downtime would be downtime spent quietly stretching your body’s stiffness away, blended with time in prayer and meditation. #3: Control your state The stress levels you feel are entirely due to the way you react to what life brings you. Problems are only challenges. Frustrations and annoyances are only successful in frustrating and annoying you if you have a mindset that allows for easy frustration. Your body holds stress in its muscular system. A damaged muscular system can be caused by stress staying in your body and doing damage to your health.
